The 2026 Absa Top 10 Olive Oil Awards have officially recognized the elite tier of South Africa’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) production, marking a significant benchmark for the regional industry.
This prestigious selection process follows the SA Olive Awards held in September. From that initial competition, a total of 33 gold medal-winning oils were advanced to a secondary stage of rigorous assessment. An expert judging panel conducted a deeper round of scrutiny and sensory evaluation to filter these high-caliber entries down to the final ten oils named as the year's best.
These awards highlight the commitment to quality within the South African olive sector, providing international buyers and industry professionals with a definitive guide to the highest-quality oils currently emerging from the region's latest harvest.
