Kuala Lumpur - A dealer said crude palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives are expected to trade with an upward bias next week, supported by strong recent export performance.
Palm oil trader David Ng said positive sentiment would continue to underpin the market's upward momentum and keep buying interest among traders intact. He told Bernama: "We expect crude palm oil prices to trade between 4,330 ringgit and 4,450 ringgit per tonne next week."
Meanwhile, Jim Teh, senior palm oil trader at Interband Group of Companies, said crude palm oil futures are likely to trade between 4,000 and 4,200 ringgit per tonne. He added: "Overall, crude palm oil futures have performed excellently compared with crude oil prices, which have recently been on a decline." He continued: "Physical demand for palm oil will come from China, India, Pakistan, the Middle East, Europe and the United States."
