
A trader said crude palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives are expected to trade sideways within a limited range, as market participants await the release of upcoming export estimate figures.
David Ng, a palm oil trader, said figures from cargo surveyors are likely to provide clearer direction on market sentiment and the price trajectory for next week.
He told Bernama: "We expect prices to trade between 4,050 ringgit and 4,250 ringgit per tonne."

Weekly trading volume declined to 402,878 lots, compared with 487,131 lots the previous week, while open interest edged up slightly to 269,476 contracts from 264,821 previously.
Meanwhile, the physical price for the CPO "November South" contract fell by 40 ringgit to 4,080 ringgit per tonne.
