
Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities received around 20 offers in its tender for the supply of crude soybean and sunflower oil, covering deliveries between 1 and 25 January 2025.
The lowest offer for soybean oil came in at around $1,175 per tonne, with the highest at $1,247, while the lowest offer for sunflower oil stood at around $1,229 per tonne and the highest at $1,288. Details of the submitted offers are set out below.

The General Authority for Supply Commodities had earlier announced two tenders for the import of crude oil, covering both imported and locally sourced supplies.
It said the imported crude oil quantity on offer comprised 30,000 tonnes of imported crude soybean oil and 10,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil.
The authority noted that bids could be submitted for the full quantity or part of it, with a minimum of 5,000 tonnes, for delivery between 1 and 15 January 2025, with offers priced on a C&F basis and payment At Sight financed by the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation.
Regarding the tender for locally supplied crude oil priced in Egyptian pounds, the Supply Commodities Authority said it was intended for the Holding Company for Food Industries, covering a quantity of 1,000 tonnes of soybean oil.
It added that offers could be submitted for the full quantity or part of it, with delivery to take place between 1 and 13 January 2025.
