Job Purpose:
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for auditing poultry production processes against established SOPs and quality standards, evaluating farm technical performance, identifying areas for improvement, and providing management with actionable reports and recommendations. The role will also lead the development and implementation of quality strategies, processes, and performance measures to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement across poultry operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality strategies and processes to promote a strong quality culture across poultry operations.
- Conduct regular audits of poultry production processes and farm operations to ensure compliance with approved SOPs and quality standards.
- Evaluate farm technical performance and prepare comprehensive reports with findings, root causes, and recommendations for management.
- Develop quality targets, KPIs, and performance measures and monitor operational performance against established standards.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to minimize waste, improve operational efficiency, and enhance production performance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in quality management and provide technical guidance and support to managers and operational teams.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on quality standards, SOP compliance, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements related to poultry operations.
- Keep up to date with developments and best practices in quality management, poultry production, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, manage, and develop the Quality Control team to ensure effective performance and high professional standards.
- Manage departmental resources and budgets effectively and ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Collaborate with farm and operational teams to ensure quality standards are consistently implemented and maintained.
