We are looking for a motivated and talented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing operational purchasing plans, managing the documentation cycle via software systems, and sourcing reliable suppliers. You will play a key role in analyzing market trends to secure the best prices and quality, while strictly adhering to safety, quality, and energy-saving standards.
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Execution: Execute operational purchasing plans and programs to finalize purchase orders efficiently.
- Order & Supply Tracking: Follow up on incoming purchase requests and job orders, issue supply orders via the system, and confirm receipt with suppliers.
- Market Analysis & Sourcing: Study market trends and price fluctuations. Obtain a minimum of three competitive quotes for evaluation.
- Supplier Management: Source new suppliers, register them into the system, and collect required legal documentation. Aim to reach primary importers to secure optimal pricing.
- Technical Sourcing & Local Alternatives: Provide local alternatives for imported items in coordination with relevant departments. Verify certified credentials for agents and distributors.
- Coding & System Management: Oversee the coding of new items and complete descriptions on the ERP system. Follow up on system updates and improvements with the software company.
- Maintenance & Services: Coordinate all types of maintenance procedures with industrial service providers.
- Quality & Sampling Logistics: Oversee the dispatch and receipt of samples between the Production/Quality departments and specialized laboratories. Coordinate technical drawings and raw material specifications with suppliers for approval.
- Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE): Comply with food safety, occupational health, safety, environment, and energy management programs. Report any food safety issues immediately to the Food Safety Team Leader.
- Energy-Efficiency Evaluation: Prioritize "Energy Conservation" as a core criterion when evaluating suppliers, focusing on the energy impact of the supplied product or its transportation.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Coordinate free technical training sessions with specialized suppliers for technical departments. Prepare weekly progress reports highlighting achievements and delays.
