We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations at our soybean solvent extraction plant. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in soybean processing and solvent extraction, with direct experience operating or managing a Rotocel (rotary-cell / Carousel / Carrousel) extractor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, optimizing oil recovery and meal quality, maintaining safe and efficient plant operations, and leading the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production operations across the soybean solvent extraction process, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient plant performance.
- Manage and optimize the operation of the Rotocel/Carousel extractor and associated extraction and solvent recovery systems.
- Monitor production performance, extraction efficiency, residual oil in soybean meal, crude oil yield, solvent consumption, and utility usage.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while minimizing process losses, downtime, waste, and operating costs.
- Supervise production operators, coordinate shift activities, and ensure proper handovers and adherence to operating procedures.
- Monitor key process parameters, including temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and solvent circulation, and take corrective action when required.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and other plant departments to resolve operational issues and improve equipment reliability.
- Implement preventive maintenance coordination and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of recurring production problems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and process safety requirements, particularly those related to hexane and flammable solvents.
- Maintain accurate production records, prepare operational reports, and track key performance indicators.
- Develop and enforce SOPs, housekeeping standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, guide, and evaluate production personnel to maintain high standards of performance, discipline, and accountability.
