DCS Automation Manager

Location: Suez, Egypt (On-site, Full Time)

Experience: 7 to 10 years — Manager level

Salary: EGP 50,000–60,000 per month + bonus

Supervision of Subordinates: Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within the factory is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Day-to-day Operations:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of control & systems to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
• Prepare the DCS instrumentation and instrumentation maintenance schedule to keep productivity at plant target.
• Liaise with the E&I Manager, the Production Department, the Refinery Operations Manager, and the Raw Sugar and Utilities Manager to resolve day-to-day problems and increase system efficiency.
• Ensure DCS instrumentation maintenance is carried out to the required safety, engineering and product quality assurance standards, on schedule and in line with company policy.
• Assist with the implementation of preventive maintenance procedures and requirements for DCS and instrumentation equipment, from field to DCS, to keep plant productivity.
• Identify legislative requirements and regulations applicable to DCS instrumentation equipment and practice.
• Complete daily reports and carry out effective communication and handover activities to track device performance.
• Work safely at all times and keep the work area clean and hygienic.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering international best practice, business process improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Reporting: Prepare reports timely and accurately to meet Savola and department requirements, policies and standards.

Health, Safety & Environment: Monitor adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
