Tunisia's Olive Oil Exports See Record Revenue Jump

Tunisian authorities have announced a significant surge in both revenues and quantities for olive oil exports during the first eight months of the current season, underscoring the growing prominence of Tunisian olive oil in global markets.

According to data from the National Observatory of Agriculture, Tunisia's olive oil export revenues reached 4.39 billion Tunisian Dinars, equivalent to 1.48 billion US Dollars, for the period from November 2025 to the end of June 2026. This figure represents a notable increase of 45 percent compared to the same period in the previous season (2024/2025).

Exported quantities also experienced record growth, reaching approximately 352,000 tons during the aforementioned eight months, marking a substantial 56.7 percent increase over the corresponding period of the previous season.

The European Union commands the largest share of Tunisian olive oil exports, accounting for 56.8 percent of the total exported volume. North America follows in second place with 24.2 percent, trailed by Asia at 11.3 percent, and finally Africa at 3.9 percent.

Regarding individual importing countries, Spain leads the list with a share of 32.4 percent of the exported quantities, followed by Italy at 19.7 percent, and then the United States of America at 19.4 percent.
