Dr. Oumeima El Aifa, an expert in Artificial Intelligence, has announced the development of Tunisia's first AI model specifically designed for the olive oil industry. The announcement was made last Friday on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum on the Valorization of Olive Oil held in Sfax.
The model was developed by the technology firm Eclidia, featuring a team of specialized Tunisian engineers. Its primary objective is to enhance the value of Tunisian olive oil and safeguard its distinct identity in international markets, ensuring it stands out against global competition.
According to El Aifa, in a statement to Diwan FM, this technological breakthrough will provide Tunisian exporters with a clear vision and precise analytical data to enter foreign markets. It offers deep insights into market specificities and evolving consumer preferences.
Furthermore, the AI model identifies the most effective marketing channels and emphasizes the strategic transition from bulk exports to branded packaging. This strategy aims to solidify the Tunisian brand in the minds of international consumers and secure higher value-added returns for the national product, moving away from its traditional status as a bulk commodity.
