Indonesia exported 19 million metric tons of crude and refined palm oil during the period from January to September, marking an 8.1% increase compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the latest data from the national statistics bureau.
The total value of these shipments reached US$21.07 billion, representing a significant 16.14% rise from the first nine months of 2025. This sharp increase in revenue was primarily driven by higher global market prices for the commodity.
For the month of September specifically, Indonesia shipped 2.87 million tons of crude and refined palm oil, valued at US$3.31 billion, as reported by statistics bureau official Ateng Hartono on Monday.
It is important to note that the bureau's figures exclude palm kernel oil, oleochemicals, and biodiesel. GAPKI, the Indonesian Palm Oil Association, typically releases its own comprehensive data at a later date. Because GAPKI includes a broader range of palm-based products, its export figures often differ from those provided by the statistics bureau.
