Brazil is expected to export a record 113.6 million metric tonnes of soybeans in 2026, according to industry group Abiove. However, revenues are expected to decline because of weaker global prices.
Abiove raised its export forecast by more than 2 million tonnes as the country approaches the end of a record harvest. However, abundant global supply has placed pressure on prices.
Soybean shipments from the world’s largest producer are expected to rise by 5.4 million tonnes compared with 2025.
Abiove kept its forecast for Brazil’s 2025/26 soybean production at 177.85 million tonnes, up 3.7% from the previous season.
Expected revenue from Brazil’s soybean complex exports was reduced to US$51.18 billion for 2026, down from a previous estimate of US$58.17 billion.
Revenue from soybean exports alone is expected to reach around US$42 billion in 2026, down from an earlier estimate of US$49 billion. Abiove lowered its average export price forecast to US$370 per tonne from US$440 per tonne previously.
Domestic soybean crush is forecast at a record 62.2 million tonnes, reflecting stronger processing demand.
