Dr. Sherif Farouk, Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, reaffirmed the continuation of the partnership approach with the private sector to secure edible oils for citizens at competitive prices.
In this context, an agreement was reached with Arma and Savola to provide 700 ml packs of blended oil for sale in consumer complexes at a price of EGP 46.60.
In implementation of the minister’s directives, the Ministry of Supply, represented by the Holding Company for Food Industries, announced the completion of the agreement to offer packaged blended oil in 700 ml packs at the stated price across all consumer complexes affiliated with the holding company nationwide.
The step comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen cooperation and activate partnerships with the private sector to ensure the availability of basic commodities for citizens.
The ministry stressed the need for all parties to work together to secure products at competitive prices and high quality, helping stabilize markets and meet household needs.
Dr. Alaa Nagy, CEO of the Holding Company for Food Industries, said the agreement directly implements the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk and extends the ministry’s ongoing efforts.
He noted that last week, 700 ml packs of Zamzam blended oil, produced by the holding company, were offered at EGP 46.60 in Hyper One Market branches, in addition to being made available in 1,060 consumer complexes nationwide.
He added that Arma and Savola’s 700 ml blended oil products will also be offered through consumer complexes, praising the ministry’s direction toward integrating efforts among all parties to provide citizens’ needs at suitable quality and prices.
