USDA to Provide $7 Million for Advanced Biofuel Production

The US Department of Agriculture announced on Friday that it will make $7 million available nationwide to advanced biofuel producers through the Advanced Biofuel Producer Payment Program, according to Secretary Brooke L. Rollins.

The funding, authorized under the One Big Beautiful Bill, will support eligible producers through quarterly payments based on actual production of finished advanced biofuel. The program enrollment period runs from October 1 to December 15, 2025.

Rollins said domestic biofuel production helps lower prices at fuel pumps, creates jobs, and puts farmers first, while highlighting President Donald Trump’s efforts to strengthen US energy independence and support rural economies.

Advanced biofuel is defined under 7 CFR Part 4288. Through this initiative, the USDA aims to increase domestic production using feedstocks grown in the United States. Interested parties may contact their state Rural Development Energy Coordinator for program details.
