Ukraine has accumulated considerable quantities of key oilseed reserves, according to experts from the 'UkroliaProm' association. As of August 1, 2026, the nation's sunflower seed stocks stood at 947 thousand tons, soybean reserves at 560 thousand tons, and rapeseed at 205 thousand tons, as reported by agronews.ua.
Throughout the September to June period of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine's domestic processing of sunflower seeds reached a significant 9.66 million tons. In contrast, exports of sunflower seeds during the same timeframe were notably low, amounting to only 39 thousand tons.
For soybeans, the total harvest for the season was 5.379 million tons. Of this, 2.65 million tons were processed domestically, while 2.169 million tons were directed towards export markets.
Rapeseed resources for the July to June span of the 2025/26 marketing year totaled 3.446 million tons. From this substantial volume, 1.34 million tons underwent processing, and 1.901 million tons were exported.
The 'UkroliaProm' association further noted specific activity in July, stating that Ukrainian facilities processed approximately 64 thousand tons of rapeseed, yielding 27 thousand tons of rapeseed oil. Additionally, close to 20 thousand tons of rapeseed seeds were exported during that single month.
