Tunisia took part in the third edition of the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition held from 22 to 25 April 2025, and claimed the top spot on the podium, ranking first in the world among all participating countries thanks to the high quality of Tunisian olive oil and its outstanding health properties.

Tunisia won 79 medals during this edition, despite fierce competition involving around 150 producing companies and 13 countries from around the world.

Tunisian olive oil outperformed both its Spanish and Greek counterparts, with the medals distributed as follows:

- 56 gold medals recognising high oil quality.

- 19 gold medals in the healthy oils category.

- 4 additional silver medals.

The competition's judging panel, considered one of the most prestigious internationally, evaluated the participating oils with the involvement of 12 international experts from countries including Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Algeria, Argentina and Tunisia.
