The Olive Oil Association in Jemmal is organizing the sixth edition of the Olive Oil Festival from December 21 to 24.
The festival will be held in the Tunisian city of Jemmal.
The main activities of the festival include:
- A cultural and tourism day for olive oil, including an entertainment carnival.
- Several exhibitions related to the olive tree, including an olive oil exhibition and oil market for display and sale.
- An olive varieties exhibition in cooperation with the Olive Tree Institute.
- A pickles and preserved foods exhibition in cooperation with the Farmers’ Union.
- An exhibition of vocational training institution products in cooperation with the regional delegation for training and employment.
- An exhibition of solar energy equipment for agriculture and children’s entertainment activities.
- A local seeds and gene bank exhibition.
- A traditional foods exhibition and an exhibition of foreign Palestinian traditional crafts.
- Live workshops on olive milling and soap making.
- Creation of three-dimensional models using olive leaves.
- A producer-to-consumer market in cooperation with the regional trade delegation.
- A study day on rationalizing consumption and preserving rainwater in the region.
- A cross-country running competition under the title Olive Tree Marathon.
- A speedball competition in cooperation with the regional sports delegation.
- An exhibition for male and female artisans in cooperation with the regional delegation for traditional industries.
- A producer-to-consumer market in cooperation with the regional trade delegation in Monastir.
- An artistic evening.
