Egypt’s Industry Minister Inspects Arma Group’s Production and Refining Lines in 10th of Ramadan City

As part of his first field tours to support Egypt’s food industries sector, Engineer Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, inspected Arma Group’s edible oil factories in 10th of Ramadan City. The visit was attended by Dr. Nahed Youssef, head of the Industrial Development Authority, and a number of ministry officials.

The minister was received by Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia, Mr. Mounir Ahmed Hayel, chairman of the group, and Dr. Abdel Jalil Al-Muqari, general manager.

During the visit, the minister reviewed the latest oil refining and manufacturing technologies used at the factory. He inspected the different production stages, from refining to packaging lines and final filling. He also visited the company’s product exhibition and listened to a detailed presentation on the group’s manufacturing capabilities and its strategic role in meeting local market needs for vegetable oils and fats.

Production and Export Indicators

Arma Group is a key pillar of Egypt’s oils industry. The visit highlighted the following indicators:

• Production capacity: up to 750,000 tonnes annually.
• Investment size: capital of around EGP 3 billion.
• Area: the factories cover 225,000 square meters.
• Exports: the group exports 15% of its production to the Gulf, the Arab region, Africa, and Europe.
• Employment: the group provides around 4,500 jobs.

At the end of the tour, the Minister of Industry reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing full support to local factories in order to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian products and increase exports in the food industries sector.
