The Malaysian Palm Oil Board said Malaysian palm oil exports rose by 0.91% in March 2025 to reach 1 million tonnes, compared with 996,460 tonnes in February.
In its March 2025 industry performance report, MPOB said crude palm oil (CPO) production increased by 16.76%, or 199,164 tonnes, to reach 1.38 million tonnes, compared with 1.18 million tonnes in the previous month.
March 2025 Production Details
- Palm kernel production rose by 18.23% to 336,918 tonnes, compared with 284,959 tonnes in February.
- Crude palm kernel oil production increased by 15.20% to 149,923 tonnes, compared with 130,146 tonnes.
- Palm kernel cake production rose by 20.74% to 172,655 tonnes, compared with 142,997 tonnes.
Stocks
- Crude palm oil stocks fell by 5.68% to 779,233 tonnes, compared with 826,145 tonnes in February.
- Processed palm oil stocks rose by 14.63% to 783,353 tonnes, compared with 683,380 tonnes.
- Total palm oil stocks increased by 3.52% to 1.56 million tonnes, compared with 1.50 million tonnes in February.
Exports
- Palm kernel oil exports fell by 3.11% to 56,333 tonnes, compared with 58,144 tonnes.
- Palm kernel cake exports declined by 36.90% to 122,977 tonnes, compared with 194,894 tonnes.
- Biodiesel exports dropped by 64.46% to 14,947 tonnes, compared with 42,052 tonnes.
- Oleochemical exports increased by 5.74% to 209,610 tonnes, compared with 198,238 tonnes.
Imports
- No crude palm oil imports were recorded during March.
- Palm kernel oil imports fell by 0.17% to 12,678 tonnes, compared with 12,699 tonnes in February.
