Indonesia has set its crude palm oil (CPO) reference price for September at $1,007.51 per tonne, according to a regulation issued by the country's Ministry of Trade.

At this reference price level, the export tax on crude palm oil will remain unchanged at $148 per tonne. Alongside the export tax, Indonesia continues to impose a separate 12.5% export levy on crude palm oil shipments.

The monthly reference price functions as a central benchmark for Indonesia's palm oil export taxation framework, with adjustments made each month based on movements in global market conditions. The decision to keep the export tax unchanged despite the upward shift in the reference price reflects the current calibration of Jakarta's palm oil export policy.
