Action against illegal oil operations in Qalyubia: Egypt’s General Administration of Supply and Internal Trade Police raided an unlicensed warehouse in Shibin El Qanater, Qalyubia Governorate.
The warehouse was being used to collect and package cooking oils of unknown origin in preparation for sale to consumers in Egyptian markets.
The raid resulted in the seizure of large quantities of adulterated oils, including 17 tonnes stored in tanks and thousands of filled containers carrying counterfeit data.
Authorities also dismantled and seized a full production line consisting of three machines, along with 6,000 counterfeit labels and more than 18,000 empty containers and cartons prepared for filling.
