The curtain has come down on the ninth edition (2026) of the National Oil Board's award for Tunisia's best extra virgin olive oil, held under the patronage of the International Olive Council. The rigorous judging process, overseen by an internationally accredited expert tasting panel from the National Oil Board, resulted in the selection of 36 winning samples spread across the contest's various categories: large producers, small producers, and olive oil packers.
This year's edition stood out for the exceptionally high quality of the participating oils, alongside the wide diversity of olive varieties and producing regions, as well as the strong and commendable turnout from Tunisian producers.
