A new report from the Food Export Council has revealed a notable surge in the performance of Egyptian edible oil exports during 2025, with the sector generating export revenues worth $432 million.
Edible oil exports recorded strong growth of 41% compared with the previous year, capturing a market share of around 6% of Egypt's total food export structure and ranking third among the country's most important exported food commodities.
The report attributed this outstanding performance to the expansion of production capacity at Egyptian factories, alongside rising demand in Arab and African markets. It also noted that exports of other vegetable oils grew by 13% to reach $114 million, further reinforcing Egypt's position as a key regional hub in the oil production and export industry.
