The Trader for Cargill's Grains and Oilseeds team participates in trading and risk management of regional cash activities and in remote selling to new and existing customers, generating income and controlling risk through routine and complex trading work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Execute and monitor short-term trading strategies and books for a commodity, market or customer, based on speculative and hedged positions in bulk and container flows.
- Coordinate across risk management trading desks to create joint product optimizations or swap opportunities.
- Research and analyze market inputs and opportunities to maximize margin.
- Collaborate with trade execution, finance, regional marketing and credit to ensure efficient execution.
- Coordinate sales and marketing efforts with regional teams.
- Reconcile profit and loss estimates and reports.
- Solve moderately complex issues independently, escalating more complex ones.
