Olive Academy for Training & Capacity Building is holding an integrated professional training course on the design, operation and maintenance of drip irrigation networks for olive farms on Saturday 29 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
The course starts from the premise that owning a good drip irrigation network is not enough on its own to guarantee its success. What separates a network that delivers high efficiency and productivity from one that wastes water and fertiliser comes down to three essentials: sound scientific design, correct operation, and regular routine maintenance. The programme is built to bring these three together, serving both those planning a new network and owners of networks already in operation.
The course is delivered by Dr Abdelrahman Ali Ibrahim, researcher at the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute of the Agricultural Research Centre, and a consultant specialising in water resources management, the design and operation of irrigation networks, hydraulic studies and technical consultancy for agricultural projects. He brings more than fifteen years of practical experience in designing and implementing modern irrigation projects and managing water resources, specialises in smart irrigation and Internet of Things (IoT) applications in the agricultural sector, and has taken part in numerous training programmes, scientific conferences and research projects in Egypt and abroad.
The course is aimed at engineers, technicians, growers, olive farm owners and anyone working on modern irrigation projects.
Registration is by phone or WhatsApp on 01001869691. Places are limited to ensure hands-on training and interaction with every participant.
